Forever was your name

When I first met you

Were radiant and pink.

I adopted you

A hutong shop

Demolished.

Adjusting took time

Passed slowly

And we zipped through Beijing.

Summer you saw shine

Fall, slapped by the wind

Winter you shivered

And spring –

The trusty lock rusted

Away you were taken

Silent wheels in the dark.

But farewell it is not

For this world is so small

But if we don’t meet again

I’ll remember forever.
